Grace Day a Georgia teen becomes pastor after early gospel calling
In 1949 Grace Phillips Day, then 16 in Adel Georgia, answered a church call after a life shifting hymn. She preached across Georgia, studied homilectics at Lee Bible College, formed The Day and Day Music Company, and wrote about 30 gospel songs. The Day Family toured the Southeast, recording albums and appearing with gospel stars, later moving to Destin as Grace joins a new ministry path with husband Charles and son Greg in the Air Force.
