Destin contractor Robert Rew and Destin charter boat captain Richard Rosen received multi year sentences from U S District Judge Norman Roettger for conspiracy to import marijuana. Rew got three concurrent 7 year terms with 55000 in fines and Rosen two concurrent 8 year terms plus a 2 year term. The case stemmed from a 1983 federal probe named Operation Screamer involving 84 people across 20 states.
