County to start Joe's Bayou Park ramp upgrades

Okaloosa County plans to start improvements at Joe's Bayou Park by April 15. Construction Service Co. of Florida bids $33,276.04 to pour about 1,200 square feet of concrete for a boat ramp and install 1,000 square feet of timber docks with two fingerslip docks on each side. Local residents say the ramp has deteriorated, with safety and access concerns before summer.
