Parker Found Not Guilty In Bank Funds Misuse Trial
Parker a Destin developer and former Sunshine Bank president was acquitted by a Pensacola AUS District Court jury on five counts of misappropriating bank funds for personal use. The jury deliberated about two hours before a 4 p.m. verdict. Parker, 41, allegedly approved a $20 000 loan to a local resident but kept the money, with counts covering loan extension and records between June 1979 and June 1980. He could have faced five years per count and 50 000 dollars per count if convicted. He remains free on appeal bond after a 1983 conviction on three counts of failing to file federal income tax returns, facing concurrent one year terms and a 15 000 dollar fine.

Coast Panel Names Subcommittees for Lagoon and Road Needs
