Coast Guard Tows Disabled Vessel to Safe Mooring
At 9 12 p m a 17 foot Coast Guard craft towed a 22 foot pleasure craft to a safe mooring from 2 1 2 miles south of Rocky Bayou. The disabled boat owned by Thomas E Freeman of Niceville was found abandoned. A 12 foot john boat adrift in the ICW near mile marker 240 prompted the 17 footer to investigate. no one was found. Residents aired concerns about right of way parking and Highway 98 bypass plans as traffic congestion and speeding issues persist near Henderson Beach.
