Weir closing contract terminated. South Shore seeks finish

Allen Johnson of South Shore Equipment Co. says he wants to finish the PA weir closing despite government termination. The Army Corps will rebid or award to the next lowest bidder. Green says completion delayed by months, with 60 percent done and penalties possible.

Ward Harden Case Sent Back To House For Vote

Tallahassee Circuit Judge Charles Miner refused to rule for either side in the Ward Hamilton case and ordered the matter sent to the Florida House of Representatives for a vote. Harden’s attorney argues the ruling denies the constitutional right to court review and questions House action given party balance. No decision yet on appeal. House fate unclear.
