Land Bed Options for Destin DWU Effluent Disposal
Destin Water Users engineering consultant Steve Holcomb outlines absorption beds as a disposal option. Absorption beds aim to return treated effluent to the water table with filters through grasses, though initial costs and land availability remain under study.

Destin Post Office Survey Seeks Auxiliaries
Destin clerks Paul Palmer and Jim Williams conducted a Retail Analysis Program to map travel routes and determine if auxiliary post offices are needed in Destin. The survey, done with customers over two days and ongoing since July 7, will feed Pensacola analysis to locate potential contract offices or self service stations. The effort aims to guide expansion near Main Street and possibly near Sandestin as Destin grows eastward.
