Destin Loses Paramedics As ALS License Granted
Okaloosa EMS earned a state license for Advanced Life Support but will pull Destin paramedics to man ALS units in Shalimar Crestview and Niceville. Nine certified paramedics will staff EMS hubs while Destin retains EMTs under Basic Life Support. ALS units will back up Destin BLS crews until a local ALS unit is established.
