County weighs paving plan for Destin streets
Okaloosa County Commissioner Mike Mitchell said he forwarded a letter to county engineer Dave Heinrich about a possible three quarters of a mile of new paving. He would consider options that are not disadvantageous to the county and noted it depends on engineering feasibility and potential city savings. The 1987 88 Destin paving list includes Oleander Street from Snapper Drive to Fleshman Drive, Hickory Street, widening Airport Road to the fire station, and a parking apron at Destin Little League Ball Park.
