Adler Jury Trial Postponed Again
Destin resident Mary Anne Adler faces a second delay in a second degree murder trial for the June 4 home shooting death of her husband Walter Joel Adler. Judge Jere Tolton cited defense illness and trial readiness as reasons for postponement. State Attorney David Rimmer indicated the delay won’t derail the case, with one NC witness and other locals still available for testimony. The grand jury returned the indictment last August amid Adler’s initial manslaughter confession.
