Animals shot in Destin raise cruelty concerns in community
In Destin over the past year several household pets, mainly dogs and cats, were shot. Dr. Jim Brechin reports a ten year old German shepherd survived a head wound with a bullet between the eyes, while other pets including Bruce Ming’s English setter and a cat were killed or put to sleep. Deputy Graham Fountain says authorities pursue the shooter and warns that discharging a firearm in a residential area is illegal under state law.
