Poets Struggle With Inner Questions Adrienne Rich profiles
Adrienne Rich remains a major American poet as she publishes Your Native Land Your Life Poems. The review notes her shift to an open, punctuation light style and her late 20th century focus on heritage as a Southern Jew living in New York and New England. It contrasts her aloof, intellectual tone with rivals like Mary Oliver whose Dream Work continuations emphasize nature.
