Dermott High School Notes Highlight Miss Baker and Contests
Miss Helen May Baker stands credited by the University of Arkansas registrar for the first half of the current school year, following a top finish last year. Word arrives of S E B A L A A contests on April 20 with Dermott represented in every event. The Dermott High School basketball team tours Warren and Fordyce, despite injuries to Morris and Perry, winning against Fordyce and Warren, and ending with a strong overall showing. The school honors roll includes Russell Bartmess and Vivian Skipper. The basketball lineup lists Perry, Thomas, Bynum, Courtney, Evans, Bulloch as key players and the team aims to organize a baseball squad soon.
