The Dermott Public School will adjourn Thursday afternoon December 21 and will not resume until Tuesday morning January 2. Teachers and pupils thank the school board for preparing these buildings and pledge greater diligence when the new year begins.

In pursuance of a Chancery Court decretal order dated November 12 1916 in case No 2047 EW Po Remley vs W A Skipper Fannie B Skipper and Rosenthal Sloan Millinery Co the Commissioner will sell at public vendue at the west door of the Chicot County Courthouse Dermott Ark the Lot 11 in Block 12 Lambert's Addition except a 12 foot strip off the south side on a three month credit with bond and security at 6 percent interest from date of sale and a lien to secure purchase money. In the Chicot Chancery Court exchange case Phainaiff v J W Barnett and Annie M Barnett the decree directs sale of Lots one and three in Daniels Seed Subdivision Dermott Arkansas at public vendue to highest bidder at the courthouse front door in Lake Village within legal hours cash in hand. Commissioner Toney signs for Hammock Crenshaw solicitors for plaintiff dated November 23 1910.

Sale on credit of three months bond with security 6 percent interest with lien on the premises until paid. Date December 12 1916 signed Calmell Merritt Commissioner in Chancery.
