Tragic Fire Claims Three-Year-Old in Mexico

A terrible accident in Mexico last Saturday morning ends in the death of Inez Mellinger, three, daughter of Grant Mellinger. While awake she reached a stand of matches, caught fire, and perished after hours of agony. The incident shakes the town as the community mourns.

Obituary of Jena Detro Marberger from Huntington area

Jena Detro Marberger born in Huntington county Indiana in August 1842 died at home near Deedsville May 4 1897 aged 54 years 9 months and 2 days. She married Elis Marberger September 15 1857 and they had 15 children, twelve living. She joined the Primitive Church August 26 1860 and remained a member. Funeral held at Zion church Thursday conducted by Elder Joseph Brower.

Excursion to Chicago at $1.50 Round Trip

The Wabash and Lake Erie Railroads offer a Sunday excursion to Chicago on June 6 at a round trip rate of $1.50. Trains depart Denver at 6 17 A M and arrive in Chicago at 10 25 A M with a return at 7 00 P M. Enjoy a day in the windy city.
