Hauling Eggs Sets Motor Haul Record From Vineland

The first commercial truck load of eggs from Vineland and Millville New Jersey to New York City about 140 miles arrived with not one egg broken. The five ton truck carried 150 crates weighing nearly four tons with the rest in aid of the total. The demonstration, arranged by the Bureau of Markets in the U S department of agriculture, delivered to the wholesaler in 16 hours, faster than express shipments.
