Nursing Workshop At Salisbury Hospital Details
The Maryland League for Nursing and National League for Nursing sponsor a nursing education workshop in Salisbury on October 1 at Peninsula General Hospital. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 30 p.m. and targets teachers, counselors, public health nurses, hospital staff, and community groups with panels on current nursing programs and pathways after graduation. Food Leaders Train at Choptank Electric Kitchen
Mrs J B Jarrell of Ridgely chaired the Food Leaders Training at the Choptank Electric Cooperative Kitchen in Denton on September 22. Fifteen Homemakers Clubs attended as Judith Pheil from the University of Maryland Extension Service demonstrated an oven meal and time saving meal planning. She showed menus and noted working women favor weekday meals under an hour, with longer preparation on weekends. The menu featured oven fried chicken, jiffy baked rice, seven minute cabbage, a relish tray, and angel food cake de luxe.

Pastor Louis Geiger now ministers while reducing duties due to health. Immanuel organized 1896 and built a new church seating 380 in nave and 50 in choir loft dedicated 1952.
