Shore Farmer Dies Riding Injured Boy
A 65 year old Ridgely farmer died of a heart attack last Friday evening while helping a youth shot in a hunting accident. James Dunn and John Dorman were hunting near Greensboro when the incident occurred. The wounded Dunn was transported for treatment as Harry R. Morris suffered a heart attack during the rescue. Funeral services were held for Morris at Greensboro with internment in Greensboro Cemetery. Survived by sister Anna Cole and brothers Otis Morris and Raymond Morris.

Holsinger Retires as Denton Farm Loan Manager
H E Holsinger resigns from The National Farm Loan Association of Denton effective October 31 after 38 years of service. He handled farm mortgage work for The Federal Land Bank of Baltimore through associations since 1917, reporting about 2,000,000 dollars in new business and ongoing servicing of about 1,000,000 dollars. He notes that in all 38 years neither the bank nor the association lost any mortgage he serviced.

Slip Cover Workshop At Camp Mardela This Week

Grand Jury Finishes Work and Submits Report
The 23 member grand jury led by foreman George W. Beck completed its fall term duties in Caroline County after hearing Judge Floyd J. Kintner's charge. The body produced two true bills and two presentments, with committees appointed for jail, court house, and county farm. Jurors praised the state’s attorney and judge, and noted jail improvements as they filed their final report.

Girl Scout Neighborhood Association Holds Session
At the September meeting the Girl Scout Neighborhood Association announced the Advanced Leaders Workshop of the Peninsula Girl Scout Council to be held October 15 at Fellowship Hall Denton with crafts badges games and songs and a 25 cent registration. A Basic Workshop for leaders was set for October 12 26 November 2 9 in the Civil Defense Office Law Building from 9 30 a m to 12 30 p m.
