Girl Scout Council Elects Officers
The Peninsula Girl Scout Council, Inc. of Delaware and Maryland elected officers and approved a 15000 budget and Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws at a September 15 meeting in Denton. Officers include President K Thomas Everngain and Vice Presidents Charles Smith and William Puncke Jr. The board list covers numerous regional members with Denton as a hub. The membership nominating committee was elected, and a charter application to the National Girl Scouts is planned with Charter Night set for October 29.

Malott's TV Radio Service Opens In 1946 Then Moves In 1951
Mike and Janice Malott launched a radio service and repair shop at the Acme Supermarket site in January 1946 and moved to their current location at the old REA site in April 1951. Mike, a four year USAF veteran in communications, and Janice run the business with James Higgins as the technician and Mrs. Malott as bookkeeper. The shop sells installs and services TV and radio with a full line of parts and promises prompt courteous service.

The Beacon Milling Company will dedicate its new Laurel Delaware feed plant on October 20 at 2:00 p m. Invitations are being issued through Beacon distributors and sales reps for invited guests. Denton Cub Scouts Organize For 1952 53
Pack 265 of the Denton Cub Scouts at First Methodist Church resumes activities sponsored by the Ever Ready Bible Class. Howard Mezick chairs the pack committee, Fred Asilton returns as Cub Master, and den mothers include Mrs Norris Coulby Mrs William Dempsey Mrs Fred Asilton and Mrs Floyd Aden. Twenty four boys remain from last year, four dens will formed with room for new Cubs in October. Eligible boys are eight to under eleven. Dens meet Tuesdays 3 30 to 4 45 and monthly Pack meetings at the church invite parents. The first Pack meeting is Friday September 26 at 7 00 pm. Prospective Cubs and parents are invited.

Laborer Slain and Boss Held in Caroline Incident
A 32 year old migratory laborer Clarence Carroll was fatally shot at 1 a m Sunday at the Lester Christopher Cannery workers quarters in Smithson Caroline County Maryland. Edward Ivey 58 was arrested and committed on a murder charge amid a gambling spree aftermath authorities said Ivey fired the shotgun blast.
