Special Registration Days Announced by County Board
The Caroline County Board of Election Supervisors announced two Court House Registration Days. Two registrars will operate 10 am to 4 pm on September 20 and September 27. In addition to precinct registrations on September 30 and October 7 and a Revision Day October 14, residents may register. To qualify, Maryland residents must have lived in the state one year and in Caroline County six months before November 4, 1952. No declaration of intent is required for new residents registering this year.

Methodists Change Laymen Sunday Date
Laymen of the Peninsula Methodist Conference will move Laymen's Sunday from February to October 19 following a general church ruling made last April in San Francisco. The change will be ratified at a Dover Wesley Methodist Church dinner at 5 p m. Granville O Hooper of Cambridge will preside as lay leaders review general-interest matters and discuss forming a Methodist men's organization per the San Francisco conference.

Toll Proposed For Bay Road Link by State Senator Turner

A truck driven by Elwood Hutson of Goldsboro overturned near Hillsboro after colliding with a State Roads Commission truck operated by John W. Chance of Denton. Hutson trailed Chance and attempted to pass as Chance turned off Route 404. Cpl. Gus Kostes charged with speeding and failure to signal. James E. Cain of Barley was charged with fictitious registration and reckless driving after speeding from Marydel, skipping a stop sign, jumping a cement barrier, and ending with two thirds of his vehicle in a house living room. Clark E. Long of Easton failed to stop at 6th and Market and was struck by Guy Bassett of Drexel Hill, Pa. Long charged with failure to stop. This shows need for better Denton controls.
