The Health Department began its school health program with the opening of school. All schools were inspected and found satisfactory. First grade pupil examinations are planned, with nurse conferences for students with health issues. The county is divided into five districts with bedside nursing by district nurses. Follow-up on the July mobile X-ray survey nears completion. Four tuberculosis cases were reported in September, total for the year now sixty. Seventy four X-rays were performed this month. A Denton X-ray Clinic remains each Wednesday morning and a Federalsburg clinic from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for nearby residents facing transport difficulties.
