George W. Clendaniel, chairman of the Caroline County Democratic Party, urged Maryland residents not yet citizens to declare their intent to become citizens to qualify for next year's elections. He said the declaration must be filed a year before an election and takes about two minutes at the Clerk of Court office in Denton. He stressed that no cost is involved and urged all newcomers to act by Saturday, November 1.
