The Delmarva District of the Church of the Brethren bought 125 acres near Denton along Watt's Creek and the Choptank River from Mr. and Mrs. G Linden Duffey for a denominational camp. Plans include a recreational hall dining hall cottages and a pool from Watt's Creek. The site may host juniors intermediates and adults with possible use by other groups.

Easton Business Men's Association will host the first postwar Hallowe'en parade on Thursday October 31 with over 400 in prizes for individuals and groups. Norman Harrington leads the parade committee inviting Eastern Shore participants. Entries from schools civic groups firms and individuals are welcome with prizes for best dressed and comic individuals by age groups plus awards for drums bands civic organizations and school entries.

Orders Probe Into Gambling Resort Case In Harmony

The annual Poultry Show banquet is set for Friday night November 1 at 7:00 p m at the Community House in Denton. County agent Francis M. Rogers coordinating with the Poultry Association Farm Bureau and Farm Products Show to finalize opening details for committee members. Harry H. Dr Morley Jull of the Maryland Extension Service told the Maryland Chicken Cooperative dinner in Denton that co operatives stabilize the industry by enabling local dressing and shipping to city markets. He noted savings per bird, reduced road shrinkage and transport costs, and the value of selective broiler stock, highlighting two Maryland developed birds and the advantage of light under feathers. The meeting also elected directors for three, two, and one year terms and heard reports on financials and marketing from cooperative officials and agents.
