Corey Sets New Langhorne 100 Mile Record in 1955 NASCAR
Pete Corey of Fonda New York won the Langhorne 100 mile Sportsmen race setting a new 1 hour 23 minute 39 second record at 71.727 mph. He defeated Larry Flynn of Jacksonville Florida by 16 seconds amid crashes and cautions that caused one car to go through a fence. The event drew 26 regional champions as part of a troubled weekend with rain delaying time trials.
