The Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland will present Course 4 Flower Show Schools in Easton November 19 20 and 21 at the Talbot Country Club. Dr. Francis DeVos of the National Arboretum leads horticulture and judging slides, with Mrs. Robert Ash covering planning and flower arrangements. Sessions cost 2.00 each or 7.50 for two days. lunch 1.00 daily. The program aims to attract flower show chairs judges and committee leaders with attendees welcome.

Firemen Answer Two Calls This Past Week
Denton Volunteer Fire Co answered an alarm early Thursday morning October 2 about 3 30 to a fire at the John Reed home on the Denton Hobbs road. The fire started in the kitchen and climbed the chimney to the upstairs with damage estimated at 8000 and partly covered by insurance. A second alarm Wednesday reported a slight fire in shavings around the blower at Adams Feed Co storage house near Oil City. Circuit Court convened Monday for October term with Judges Rollins and Carter on the bench. Norman Nicholster of Caroline vs Nuttle Lumber Co was found not guilty of receiving stolen goods. William Bower vs Harold Miller over an automobile accident was under way Wednesday with no verdict yet at press time.

Gun mishap kills 16 year old near Greensboro
Ronald W. Hutson a Greensboro High School sophomore was fatally wounded Saturday when a shotgun discharged as he reached for it during a dove hunting trip on a farm southwest of Greensboro. He died at Memorial Hospital Easton at 5 35 p m. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Rawlings Funeral Home Greensboro with Rev Walter Agner officiating. Interment followed at Greensboro Cemetery. He is survived by his parents twin brother Donald and another brother James Hutson stationed with the Easton Barracks state police.
