The Denton Rotary Club marks its 20th anniversary at the Brick Hotel on Tuesday October 14 with a regular meeting. Cattle Exchange Hog Show Plans Announced
Cattle Exchange prepares for the third Eastern Shore 4-H Fat Hog Show and sale on October 15, led by F. M. Rogers, Caroline County Agent and show chairman. A Denton banquet Tuesday features Morris Sneider, with Riley the Mystic performing. The swine house has been expanded for this event. show starts Wednesday at 9 am and sale at noon. Representatives from University of Maryland and local farm groups will attend. Champions have previously brought high prices.

War Dead To Arrive From Pacific And Europe
Captain John W Rue commander of Company H 115th Infantry National Guard announces the first shipment of war dead will arrive in the United States on October 10 from the Pacific and October 25 from the European Theatre. High School Driving Tests In Denton Greensboro
Denton High School students will take driving tests to measure stopping distance at various speeds on October 15 at 9 am, announced by Principal Crouse. A similar demonstration will be held in Greensboro on October 14 at 9 am on Third Street near the school, led by Mr. Pontious of Farm Bureau safety program with a modified car using yellow paint bullets to show braking time and distance.
