Magistrate Courts Record Fines For Week Long List
Last week in Guilford County magistrate court, John Robert Bright of Greensboro paid 75 dollars after being found not guilty of drunken driving and fined 75 for reckless driving. Cornelius Hurd also fined 75 for allowing an unauthorized person to drive his car. Two Greensboro youths paid 35 each under a new law banning minors from possessing alcohol. Charles Parker Jr of Federalsburg paid 25 for speeding and reckless driving but was found not guilty of exceeding 70 mph. Ray Francis Marvel of Federalsburg paid 5 for disturbances. Everett O McGee of Bridgeville Delaware fined 10 for reckless driving. Melvin Douglas Good and Benjamin C Trice were found guilty of willfully damaging a motor vehicle. Good 30 and Trice 10.

Legion To Sponsor Two Programs For This Year
Caroline Post 29 will sponsor a County Oratorical Contest and a Veterans Day program on November 11 for all county high school juniors and seniors. The oratorical contest will be held this winter at the Post Home with contact through principals or Mr. Morgan Williams, Americanism Chairman for the North Eastern Shore District. The Legion donated a 49 star flag to the new high school. Ladies of Post 29 run a Child Welfare Drive supervised by Mrs. William Beers to aid local families, with item pickup arranged via Denton numbers.

Caroline County Garden Club Opens Fall Season in Easton
The Caroline County Garden Club met at Tidewater Inn Easton Maryland on September 30 with 21 members and two guests Mrs Frank La Motte and Mrs Henry Heineman. Mrs Heineman spoke on flower arrangement and district I director Mrs LaMotte praised the club’s efforts. A Land Week Show booth was organized with volunteers covering birds corsages terrarium arrangements potted plants calendars and live arranging demonstrations daily at 3 pm. District I hostesses Mrs Reyner Dukes Mrs Bradford Stetson and Mrs W Carman Leggett assisted at the Landscape Design Workshop September 25 at Baltimore Memorial Stadium.

Harvest Festival Committee announced the big Lions Fry Pan will headline the PTA fair at Denton School on October 23.
