Greensboro couple receive telegram from war department announcing the death of their son Cpl. J. David Singer Jr. in Germany on an undated November date. He was 25, a Greensboro High School graduate, and served with the 29th Division Field Artillery. He previously lived in Denton and Seaford, Delaware, with fiancée Miss Sara Finn. He landed in France after Normandy and remained in action until his death. He is survived by his parents two sisters and one brother and eleven nieces and nephews.
