Ninety Men Take On $10,000 Campaign for Church
First Methodist Church launches a fund drive to raise 10 000 for steeple repairs school room upgrades parsonage work a new garage and maintenance fund. Campaign runs November 15 to 28 with two dinner meetings and canvassing in pairs to collect voluntary subscriptions. The church has grown from 133 members in 1902 to 546 today.

Goldsboro Man Killed in Accident Near Centreville
A 62 year old Goldsboro man Noble Bickling was killed in a two car collision two miles east of Centreville at Routes 301 and 304 intersection. Passenger John Kemp 56 and Cliff Townsend 38 were injured. other passengers Edward Meekings 35 and Constance Stabley 26 also hurt. All were treated at Memorial Hospital Easton. Kemp was eastbound on 304 and turned onto 301 in front of Townsend’s car.

Five Year Old Abandoned In Ridgely Last Week
A mother left her 5-year-old son David Lee Melvin in Ridgely last Wednesday night after a driver stop for a soda. He wandered Route 480 to Rampmeyer’s store, then to Central Ave and Third St where he cried for his mother. Policeman Gabler and Leelan Higgins found him. he stayed with Gabler then was placed with his aunt near Henderson as authorities investigate.

District Supervisors To Hold Public Meeting Nov 17
The Caroline Soil Conservation District Supervisors will hold a public meeting at the Greensboro fire hall on Tuesday night November 17 1959. Denton PTA Met Monday Night at Denton School
Denton PTA held a Monday evening meeting at the Denton School. The Harvest Festival netted 970 dollars. The group voted to buy two refrigerated water coolers for the Primary Building. Pictured pupils from Mrs Fifield's second grade presented a Reading Party in original costumes. Attendance by parents was excellent, with a note that even more should attend future PTA meetings to strengthen school ties.
