Caroline County 4-H Club banquet scheduled for Friday November 12 at 6 30 p m in the Denton Armory. More than 290 4-H members, parents and leaders expected. program features brief speeches and stunts plus films The Road Turn Right The Cracked Nut and Mickey's Medicine Man. Stanley Sutton will lead after dinner recreation from 9 30 to 10 30 with awards to outstanding 4-H boys and girls for 1948.

State Breeders Seek New Chicken With More Meat
Poultrymen in Maryland join a three-year nationwide Chicken of Tomorrow program announced at Lexington Kentucky by H. L. Shrader U S Department of Agriculture to breed plumper meatier birds. The initial Delaware program proved meat-type improvements and provided key breeding data for the industry.

National contest expands for Chicken of Tomorrow program
The national committee unanimously backs a new three-year plan to advance superior meat-type chickens. A and P Food Stores will continue sponsorship. Plans include state and regional contests in 1949 and 1950, culminating in a 1951 national final with new awards. Maryland's efforts are led by Dr Morley A Jull with help from James M Qwin and Wade H Rice of the college poultry department.
