The annual Maryland Artificial Breeding meeting gathered 406 dairymen from Garrett to Worcester Counties in College Park on October 24. Attendees viewed new bull barns and labs, learning of progress over four years as 23,000 cows were bred last year and an expected 28,000 by January 31, 1951. Merle Crouse, Ridgely High School 1948 graduate, a Bridgewater College junior, has won four matches this fall for the Bridgewater Eagles Cross Country team. County Physicians Offer Free Urinanalyses Week of Nov 12 18
The Caroline County Medical Society in cooperation with the Diabetic Detection Drive will conduct free urinalyses for patients in their offices from November 12 to 18. Self-testing kits are available at some county drug stores. Last year about 7500 new diabetes cases were found nationwide during Detection Week. If many are tested, more cases may be found this year.
