Choptank Electric Cooperative will cut its retail rates by more than 100000 dollars a year, effective June 1, 1963, with new schedules filed with the Public Service Commission of Maryland. The move passes wholesale power savings to members, excluding Royal Oak area while negotiations continue with St. Michaels Utility. The coop serves over 14000 members across about 3200 miles of line in nine Eastern Shore Maryland counties.
