Fruit Prospects For This Year Frosts Delay Clear Outlook
Fruit prospects remain uncertain as early reports indicate favorable tree condition and heavy bloom in most areas, though April frosts and breuth injury have damaged some trees. Grape, cherry and plum crops show varying damage, subsoil moisture is uncertain, and dry weather last year has weakened some buds and trees. Prospects hinge on rainfall and fruit set in coming weeks.
