Lifting Gases Compare Hydrogen and Helium in Balloons

One cubic foot of hydrogen weighs 0.071 pounds and helium 0.066 pounds at ordinary conditions. Both are among the lightest gases used for balloons. Lifting power depends on specific gravity and temperature.
