Maryland weekend crash near Federalsburg in Caroline County left two dead and at least five others injured. Victims include Ruth Bradley 21 and George Adams 30, both of Federalsburg, in a head on collision that also seriously injured Elma Lou 29 and Laura Adams 23. Trooper A H Peterson called it the worst accident he had seen.

A Gettysburg area native and Fairfield High School graduate, he studied agriculture education at the University of Maryland and will graduate in June 1950. 4-H Camp Set For Early June At Camp Tockwogh
The 4-H girls of Queer Annes and Caroline Counties plan their annual camp outing June 3rd to 9th at Camp Tockwogh MCA Camp near Betterton. Miss Ruby Brant and Miss Bessie M Spafford lead as Home Demonstration Agents with University advisor Miss Dorothy Emerson. About 60 girls will attend with activities in crafts music swimming boating vespers and lectures on speech leadership clothes styling and self improvement.

The second annual festival by Caroline County four high schools will be at Denton Armory on May 28 at 3:00 PM. Combined choruses totaling about 200 from Greensboro Preston Caroline and Federalsburg will sing two works with Mrs Jessie Fleming guest conducting. The Caroline High School orchestra under Miss Genevieve Rugh will perform, with soloists Bob Orrell Janet Hoffman June Wedlick and Carl Watson. Eight graduates will receive diplomas, presented by W Stewart Fitzgerald and Jerome Frampton Jr. The public is invited.
