Girl Scouts Seek New Meeting Quarters in Community
A Girl Scout Troop Committee meeting hosted by Mrs James Wise and Miss Peggy Soucy on April 25 discussed urgent need for a larger central, well heated meeting space for Scouts and Brownies. Plans included a Family Night at the High School May 13 with square dancing and badge awards, plus a benefit movie featuring The Woman of Tomorrow. A new Senior Troop for ages 15 to 17 is planned for fall. Resignations of Mrs Hugh Ramsey and Mrs Noble Tongue were accepted with regret.

The Caroline High School Mixed Chorus under Miss Genevieve Rugh presents its third annual Spring Concert at Caroline High School Friday at eight o clock daylight saving time. The Episcopal Diocese of Easton convened its eighty-eighth annual meeting on May 2 1950 at Emmanuel Church Chestertown Maryland with Bishop Allen J Miller presiding. Parishes were fully represented by clergy delegates and alternates with many visitors. St Marys White Chapel Parish sent Dr Johnson as rector and John Logan as delegate and Mrs Albert Hickel as alternate. Johnson elected delegate to the Provincial Synod Sewanee trustee John Logan for the University of the South. The convention adjourned after a parish supper.
