Spring 4-H Cattle Show Held At Centreville Park
The Tenth Annual Eastern Shore Spring 4-H Cattle Show took place Saturday at 11:00 a m in Queen Anne s County 4-H Club Park Centreville. County Directors from Caroline County were David Nagel Henry Fuchs and Wayne A Cawley Jr. Eighteen Caroline County exhibitors including Billy Collier Sara and Joseph Edwards Philip and Charles Ebling Henry and Harry Nagel Joseph Boyle J D Neal J Hoffman and Dee Dee Holsinger and Kenneth L Willis Jr competed. Beef judge was Ural G Bee Dairy judge John L Morris and Steve Close served as judges. Awards were by the Maryland State Fair Board under the Maryland Extension Service. The next show is the Caroline County 4-H Dairy Show set for July 19 at 10 am in Downes Station Ridgely Md.

FFA Sweetheart Chosen At Denton Chapter Ball 1959
The Denton Chapter of Future Farmers of America held its annual dance on April 24 to select the FFA Sweetheart for 1959 60. Candidates from Caroline High Greensboro and Ridgely competed before three judges Clarence Meiss Patricia Browne and Mrs Hansen Hoffman. Miss Jane Lister Ridgely was chosen Sweetheart crowned by Ruth Ann Brindley. Roger Trice presented a locket and Miss Lister with escort Wayne Lawton led the next dance.

State Hospital Tour Set For Cambridge May 6
People on the Eastern Shore are invited to visit their Eastern Shore State Hospital in Cambridge on open house day Wednesday May 6. Registration starts 1 30 p m in the rehabilitation building with tours from 1 30 to 3 30 p m. An Easton High School Band concert will be held and the Woman s Auxiliary to the hospital will host the event.

The Caroline High School class of 1914 will reunite on Saturday May 2 with a six o clock dinner at the Brick Hotel followed by social time and reminiscences at Mrs Charles Morrison's home.
