Davis Elected Trustee President At Wesley Junior College
Wilmer Fell Davis was elected president of the Wesley Junior College board of trustees replacing John J. Williams who resigned due to Senate duties. Davis, a Federalsburg resident, Princeton graduate and longtime Methodist activist, has served as trustee since 1930 and as vice president since 1947. He is a former Maryland state senator and heads the W. F. Davis Company. The board also named John Holt as vice president, William B. Simpson as secretary, and Lester E. Windsor as treasurer.

The Rev. William R. Dudley pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Denton resigns to take a pastorate in Arlington Virginia effective June 1. A former dean of men at Allentown Bible Institute, he is a Richmond Virginia native who was a builder before ministry and helped reshape the Denton church front from octagon to rectangle.

Eastern Shore chess fans await the Shore tournament opening Monday March 31 at 8 pm with entrants from the region competing to wear the crown of the sport of kings.
