Caroline High School teams earned spots in the Eastern Shore Championship Jr. Division C by beating Centreville at Sadlersville. Denton girls trailed but edged Centreville 19 18 on a late free throw by Audrey Reid. Denton boys, led by Captain Murray Smith, defeated Centreville 31 26. Friday Denton boys meet Princess Anne at Salisbury for the title. Denton girls host Easton for the crown. Federalsburg girls face Mardella in class D.

Girl Scout International Friendship Rally to be held March 13 in the Dover High School Cafeteria starting at 10 AM. Dover Troops, led by Miss Dor Mae Faulkner, Mrs Max Feller and Mrs James Krygier, greet participants, take photos, view a movie, and proceed to lunch then an afternoon program at 12 30. Gifts for Juliette Lowe Fund, color guard, songs from many troops, and nation banners plus a box lunch and sold ice cream drinks milk.

A Carnegie Hall In Every Town Concert Ends Easton Series
The Easton Community Concert Association closed its 1947-48 season with Eugene Istomin as guest artist in Easton high school. Istomin, a rising pianist, recently appeared with the New York Philharmonic and impressed a large audience. Subscriptions for 48-49 are welcome this week, with four concerts planned at no extra cost to subscribers. Membership is $6 for adults and $3 for students. Contact Denton reps Mrs. J. Couple Celebrate Golden Anniversary in Burrsville Hall
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis C. Mitchell of near Burrsville marked their golden wedding on a Friday evening February 27 in Burrsville Maryland Community Hall. They farm and have three children Mrs. Woodie Dill Greensboro Md Clifton Mitchell Burrsville and Edwin Mitchell at home and six grandchildren.
