Beauty contest impresario Earl Hawk announced a broad search across the Delmarva Peninsula for Miss Delmarva and a Junior Miss division. Local contests are planned in Dover Milford Centreville and other towns with the semi finals in Laurel June 19 and 20 and finals at Denton during the Eleventh Annual Delmarva Chicken Festival. Prizes include a 750 college scholarship or 500 cash to Miss Delmarva, runner up 200 scholarship or 100 cash, personality award 200 scholarship or 100 cash, and 100 savings bond for popularity. Top four contestants earn a 4 day trip to New York after the festival. Entriants must be 16 14 to 22 and unmarried.
