Frank Ross 81 Easton retired architect and builder and former mayor died suddenly last Tuesday night at his South Harrison street home. He designed Easton public buildings and served as mayor in 1919 resigning in 1920. Survived by wife, daughter Mrs Zachary Taylor Jones of Alexandria and brother A G Ross. Funeral Saturday 2 p m from Clark's Funeral Parlor with Masonic burial service at Spring Hill cemetery.

Funeral services for Hartley Sloan aged 47 of Baltimore were held at J. Virgil Moore and Son Funeral Home in Denton. Burial followed in Denton cemetery. He died in Baltimore on June 11 after six years there. He was the son of the late William and Sallie Griffith Sloan of Denton. Surviving are a sister Mrs Conrad Lane of Denton and a brother James Sloan of Ridgely.
