A historical ad touts Keller's Roman Liniment as the sole effective remedy for an excruciating disease, claiming success in inflammatory and chronic cases, with instant relief for lumbago and sciatica and immediate results when properly applied. The copy asserts no known failures.
This liniment has proved itself to be one of the best reiteries ever used for burns and scalds. Its quickness in alleviating pain when applied gives it great superiority over all other preparations.
Maryland General Assembly adopts a comprehensive appropriation act for the fiscal year ending September 30 1880. It itemizes salaries for state officers judiciary militia and public works, funds for public schools and normal schools, prisons and reformatories, as well as special funds for libraries and public buildings. Also establishes the Maryland Hospital for the Insane board as a public agency.
The General Assembly approves amendments to Article Forty four of the Code of Public General Laws for Maryland Hospital and related changes. The measure adds a Treasurer bond, appoints a Superintendent physician, and revamps non resident infant suit procedures in Chancery with commissions and guardian appointments for infants.
