The second Stafford family reunion was held at Prime Hook Neck Beach Delaware in the new cottage of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Gebhardt of Wilmington on Sunday July 19. W Austine Stafford of Burrsville was elected president and Mrs. Francis Hayman of Denton secretary and treasurer. About fifty attended the picnic lunch hymn singing and fellowship. Attendees included many named Stafford relatives from Burrsville Harrington Wilmington Manor Collingsdale Rehoboth Beach Smyrna Barclay and Baltimore along with Mr and Mrs Crawford Garrett and others.

Keystone Automobile Club Opposes Gas Tax Increase
The Keystone Automobile Club urged Congress to oppose any federal gasoline tax hike at a Washington hearing. It argued part of existing motorist excise taxes should fund the Highway Trust Fund, not raise the tax.
