Tolchester Firemen's Day Draws Over Six Thousand

Lightning Fire Destroys Queen Anne Barn
A Queen Anne Hillsboro area barn on Route 404 suffered a total loss after a midweek lightning strike during a cloudburst. Firemen fought flames for three hours amid high water, saving nearby structures while a Cordova engine stood by. The farm is owned by Miss Dorothy Jump and tenanted by Richard Mooney.

97 Year Old Resident Returns From Hospital

In Rehoboth Beach Delaware a quiet double ceremony joined Mrs Louise M Hignutt of Rehoboth to Charles G Lord of Baltimore and Mrs Frances Davis to Earl Bramall, both couples from Wilmington.
