Arrangements for Story Hours In Denton Begin Next Week
Mrs Gene Engels county head quarters librarian reports final plans by the Library and Denton Woman's Club for two series of Story Hours. Preschool session Wednesday July 11 at 10 a m at Headquarters Library with Mrs Chas Moore. First through third graders Thursday July 12 at 10 a m at the same site with Mrs W S Carroll. Sessions are free and open to all children in Caroline County in these age groups.

He holds a BA from Washington College and an MBA from Columbia University and was employed by Allied Chemical before enlisting. Navy Gunner’s Mate Frederick L. Fearins of Denton served aboard USS Seminole during Exercise Flying Disk off Oahu Hawaii with multiple Marine and Navy units.

The State Police report for the past week details two incidents. On June 30 near Gil Wright's Cannery in Pinetown a dispute over a car led to Thomas B. Madison being shot in the left arm. Harry Wise was found guilty of assault with a deadly weapon and sentenced to six months in the House of Correction. On June 28 near Ridgely a tire blowout caused Merritt Wm. Robinson to strike a pole. passenger Irvin Seth was treated and released with no charges filed.

Junior Highs At Camp Mardela For Work Week
Christian service in Ecuador was a key emphasis by 13 14 year old Junior Highs during their week long camping conference at Camp Mardela. Rene Caldiron a 22 year old Ecuadorian served as resource leader for small group discussions. He has studied in Quito and Guayaquil and plans medicine study at Manchester College. Peggy Ringgold a Bridgewater College junior will lead sessions before leaving for eight weeks in Ecuador. Merle Crouse and David Rittenhouse also head to Ecuador with Brethren mission teams. The nearly 40 campers raised over 40 dollars for the Ecuador project. Ora I Huston urged continued Brethren Volunteer Service for peace. Seth and Belva Baker directed the camp among 33 teens and nine leaders. Next week Caroline County 4 H girls will hold their camp at the same site.
