Gail Brewington 18 of Shad Point near Fruitland won Miss Delmarva at Harrington during the Delmarva Chicken Festival finals before about 2,500. A Wicomico High senior, she tops 18 contestants and earns a $750 scholarship, a trophy, and prizes. Runnerup was Diane Isaacs of Greenwood, with Dana Den Herder winning Miss Personality and Lisa Oliphant taking Little Miss Delmarva. Local winners in art and outdoor contests are also noted.

The Pittsburgh Pirates announce a tryout camp at Washington College Field in Chestertown Maryland on Saturday June 23 from 9 am to 2 pm under Scouting Supervisors Joseph Bowen and Syd Thrift assisted by Jim Davies Joe Consoli Ed Layton and Joe Sebter. Krabill Reunion Held At Camp Mardela On Sunday
The Krabill reunion gathered 65 relatives at Camp Mardela on Sunday June 17 for a picnic.
