Elopement scheme and gun confrontation in Tail Holt
Ruth Chiswick fears rustlers will harm her father Lee and asks Jeff Gray to help. In town, Gray protects Chiswick during a gunfight, revealing he saved Lee’s life though misread as the killer. Ruth shoots Gray by accident while defending her father, and she confides Gray’s true intent. Lee demands proof of Gray’s innocence before trusting him, while Ruth defends Gray as not a robber but a man who saved her father.
