Dover Pastor Marion Marine Dies After Heart Attack
The Rev. Marion W. Marine of 140 Hazel Road Dover died in Kent General Hospital after a heart attack shortly after being invited to return as pastor of Wesley Methodist Church for a fourth year. He had served in multiple Maryland churches and Wilmington before joining the Dover charge. Surviving are his wife Charlotte Bromley Marine, two children, and four sisters and two brothers. He was born in Easton Maryland and educated at Eastern College in Virginia. He held several conference committee roles and was a trustee of Wesley Junior College.

Southern States Gains Cited at Regional Meeting
Dr C D Caskay of Baltimore director of research for Southern States Cooperative told officials from four counties at a regional dinner last week of gains in volume and profit. He noted a 61 percent rise in sales from 1942 to 1943 totaling 9 907 000 with 16 109 816 in 1942. Net worth rose due to Livings and sale of preferred stock to 10 131 414. Management proposes a 12 000 000 postwar expansion and 1 500 000 annual net worth gain for 1950 demand for frozen food lockers hatcheries canneries and other projects.
