Federalsburg Fire Destroys Post Office and Poole Brothers Building
A blaze in Federalsburg destroyed the Poole Brothers building and the adjacent post office on Main and Bank Streets, causing about 18 000 in damage. The post office records were saved, but lodges, a bank corner, and a telephone exchange suffered heat damage while fire crews from multiple towns aided the effort. Insurance covers part of the losses.
