Truck farming success near Harrington described
The Raughley brothers built a thriving two-farm truck operation in Kent County Delaware. Starting with $2,750 six years earlier they sold 1800 in year one, 4200 in year two, and by 1911 their total cash sales reached 6000 with living costs covered. They increased stock, paid mortgages, improved facilities, and now could command 10000 to 12000 for the farms. The piece argues farming requires study, good land management, and sales skill.
